Wine is an open-source project that provides a compatibility layer used to run Windows applications on other operating systems such as macOS, Linux, and Chrome OS. Wine works differently than other "emulation" software. Instead of running a version of Windows "in a bubble" inside your macOS or Linux environment, Wine is an intermediary. It translates Windows instructions into macOS or Linux instructions directly. That means when you open your Windows application, it will run faster and smoother than it would through an emulator.

Here's the deal: we typically only need help with one thing: Wine Development. Other code development, system administration, testing, sales, tech support, accounting, temp work, dishwashing, and so on we have only occasional need for, and we hire locally when we do. CodeWeavers is a small company based in St Paul, Minnesota that enables customers to run Windows programs on macOS, Linux and Android using the open source Wine technology. We are looking for talented programmers that are willing to learn how to improve Wine.
