Southern Tint

Southern Tint was established in 2007. It started as a one man operation and has grown to the go to place for window tinting and vehicle accessoriesin the Chalmette/New Orleans area. We don't do everything under the sun. We specialize in certain areas to maintain a concentration in our training. This is the shop where you can expect high quality products and exceptional installation services. Since opening the doors the goal has always been the same, constant improvement! We are always learning new skills and techniques to improve the service we provide you.

The price for tinting your car will vary depending on the make and model of your car and which windows you want done. You can expect to spend an average of about $200-250 for a full car with our carbon window tint. Higher end cars such as BMW and Mercedes cost a little more. Larger SUV's with more glass will also cost a little more. This is just an average range. The ceramic window tint cost more than the carbon but provides almost twice the heat rejection. If your car is registered in Louisiana you are supposed to have 50% VLT window tint on the front doors, 35% VLT tint on the rear doors and 20% VLT tint on the rear windshield of a four door car.
