At Classic Copper Works we take pride in delivering the highest quality artisanal copper products produced in the USA. Since 1964, the Threadgill family has been producing artisanal architectural metal products on the Texas Gulf coast. Founded as Threadgill Sheet Metal Works by his father, James began helping in the shop before he started school. By the time he was a young man he was already an accomplished artisan. After taking over from his father, James formed Classic Copper Works as a subsidiary of TSMW, Inc. to cater directly to the artisanal metal products market.

Our copper dormers are designed and fabricated to both enhance the architectural appeal of your project and to function as a source of attic ventilation or natural light by installing glass in place of louvers. These units are totally self-supporting and are designed to be installed without any additional framing. Our dormers are designed with a tail and headwall flashing so that they can be installed in conjunction with whatever type of roofing material you may select. The dimensions of these units may be adjusted to accomodate your special conditions.

In addition to our expert coppersmiths we also have skilled blacksmiths available for custom wrought iron projects. We also have an expanding line of wrought iron accessories including wrought iron brackets especially designed for use with our awnings.

Our artisans have many years of experience creating beautiful quality copper awnings and bronze awnings. Our copper canopies and bronze canopies have been cherished for decades for their strenght, beauty, and quality that endures the tests of time. Since 1964 we've produced copper window awnings and copper door awnings for fine homes as well as copper entry awnings for many satisfied business owners. The copper awning and canopy fabrication techniques we use were handed down from father to son to our highly skilled artisans.

Copper dormers are structural elements of buildings that project from the slope of the roof surface. Window dormers are used, either in original construction or as later additions, to create usable space in the roof of a building by adding overhead space and include windows for light and ventilation. Louver dormers are often used to provide attic space ventilation. Though copper dormers are beautiful and popular, dormers can also be made of wood, stucco, Hardie Plank, galvanized or prefinished steel, and aluminum.
