My parents, Richard & Mary, opened their first shop in February that year, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. I learned to cut glass by age 11, and knew that I wanted to be a part of the company my parents were building. By the time I was 16 years old, we had moved to Johnson City, Tennessee, and began to broaden our services. Instead of just windows, we offered table tops, store fronts and custom shower doors.
