GMI Architects has been providing professional design services to behavioral healthcare organizations since our establishment in 1980 as Graham/Meus Inc. Architects. Under the leadership of Gary Graham, FAIA, the firm has had primary responsibility for the design of over 50 behavioral healthcare projects encompassing over 5,000 inpatient beds throughout North America. This experience has included programming, master-planning, and the design of a dozen major State Hospital projects in four States, as well as proprietary and not for profit hospitals throughout the country.
Since 1980, GMI Architects has worked to provide interior designs that are inviting and provide a personalized atmosphere for both clients and users. With a wide variety of projects completed over the years, GMI has been able to create finished interiors which react to each client's needs. With a specialty in behavioral health care, GMI has designed interiors which respond to the unique requirements and needs for patient spaces. Whether it is a workplace environment which takes on the company's identity or an inpatient facility which puts a strong emphasis on patient safety, GMI provides a welcoming environment for all.
