A new water feature became the focus of the outdoor terrace with its splashing waterfall, koi fish and lush plantings. The St. Joseph Parish, 40 acre campus includes the Sanctuary, School, Gymnasium, Rectory, Convent and a new Administration/Family Life Center. AFWCo is working with the church to provide an overall landscape master plan to unify the campus, detailed landscape plans for the new building and design for signage, lighting and re-design for existing landscaping. Creative, low maintenance, sustainable solutions are the focus for the landscape management of the property.
This heavily wooded, sloping site provides multiple opportunities for outdoor living under the trees. Winding paths, with destinations unknown, curve through the native understory plantings. A new, enlarged Ipe deck, a lower stone patio with hot tub and an antique bench offer multiple seating areas throughout the property. The trees provide the perfect canopy for a variety of shade tolerant shrubs and perennial groundcovers creating year-round color and seasonal interest.
