Zed Architects

Since 1990, Zed Architects has provided architectural services for commercial, residential and institutional clients. Nabil Zahrah, partner oversees the office operations and project execution while Catherine Wetzel, partner assists with project definition and design work. Veronica Pazaran, a fourteen year employee, organizes and leads production operations. Zed Architects is a five person firm that delivers client-centered services that reflect the project expectations, budgets and the need for quality design as a key to habitable environments.

ZED Architects has worked on space planning, facility evaluation, corporate identity installations, renovations and additions to existing facilities on more than fifty projects related to showrooms and warehouse operations. Architectural services included the hiring and coordination of civil, structural and MEP engineers. Since 2008, Zed Architects has provided full architectural services and coordinated associated MEP work for more than 50 Accelerated Physical Therapy clinics in four states. Accelerated clinics, up to 4,000 square feet, typically include reception areas, offices, therapy rooms and exercise areas, and employee facilities.

The residential work of ZED Architects includes new construction, renovations of single and multi-family units, renovations and additions to single-family houses and garages, as well as complete building conversions. The work involves programmatic assessment of the clients needs, critical review of existing building structures and mechanical systems and recognition of evolving patterns of living in the neighborhood context. Projects develop from an understanding of optimizing light and ventilation, access to the outdoors, and lifestyle demands.
