Our work intentionally avoids solutions that are superficial or cosmetic. Instead, we search for designs that are thoughtful and authentic responses to the true needs of our clients. Our projects aspire to elevate human activity, to enable a better understanding of the natural world, to foster interpersonal relationships, and to strengthen local communities. We consider architectural design to be a form of problem-solving that seeks elegant and meaningful three-dimensional solutions, and we pursue an aesthetic that emerges from the specific circumstances of each project.

We believe that great design finds beauty in circumstance. Rooted in this balance of context, constraints and aspirations, our architectural practice has a legacy of creating exceptional spaces that are imbued with meaning and purpose for our clients. A building's interior and exterior should be inextricably woven together, deriving inspiration and character from one another. As a fundamental component of our architectural practice, our interior designers deliver a thoughtful, collaborative and research-based approach to interior architecture.

As of 2018, Christner is a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). We have consciously transitioned to an ownership structure that is more inclusive of diverse perspectives and the full spectrum of talents that contribute to creating excellent projects. Our WBE distinction is a genuine reflection of not just our leadership, but our broader firm. Of our professional staff, 50% are female and 10% are under-represented minorities.
