The firms Abell Crozier Architects and Architects Southwest have merged to become ACSW Architects. We are now one of the largest and most capable firms in the region. The merger of our two teams brings complementary professionals together for exponential growth. ACSW was formed by the 2020 merger of Abell + Crozier Architects and Architects Southwest, both of Lafayette, Louisiana. Abell + Crozier Architects and Architects Southwest operated independently for 17 years and 40 years respectively. Abell + Crozier Architects, known for planning and designing of educational facilities, healthcare institutions, commercial buildings, and religious environments, was founded in 2002.
ACSW has a combined 57-year history of designing award-winning projects for all typologies from master planning to interiors to commercial and civic architecture. Our experience spans from new-building design, exterior renovations and additions, interior renovations, as well as programming, overall campus planning, and community engagement. Our success begins with taking the time to really get a deep understanding of the client, their business' trajectory, and their short and long term needs and goals.
Urban Design is the study and application of scale - a holistic exploration of the relationship between buildings, streets, and landscapes. Our interdisciplinary team has experience investigating the various components that inform compelling urban design and proper placemaking. Gathering community input from those potentially affected by a project is the foundation of our creative process. We have vast experience in expertly orchestrating various engagement types including focus groups, workshops, and large-scale charrettes.
