Formed in 1992, Parikh Stevens Architects, (formerly Murphy Stevens Architects) is a regional firm that specializes in residential architecture, urban planning and interior design. We service an extensive list of clients ranging from homeowners to developers to large scale corporations, but we are best known for our multifamily housing work. Parikh Stevens Architects has the capacity to provide our clients with the creative and technical services necessary to bring their projects to successful fruition.
Our story begins in 1992, when two Denver architects Martin Murphy and George Stevens founded what was then known as Murphy Stevens Architects. In 1994, Harsh Parikh joined the young firm while pursuing his Master's degree in Architecture at the University of Colorado. The late '90s loft boom of Denver ensured a steady stream of multifamily and mixed-use projects and Murphy Stevens Architects began to gain reputation as one of the leading housing firms in the Rocky Mountain region. In 2003, Martin Murphy left the firm to pursue other interests and Parikh Stevens Architects came into being.
Is architecture an artistic, a technical, or a service profession? At Parikh Stevens, we firmly believe that we are artists, technicians and service professionals in equal measure, and the crux of our success lies in balancing the often conflicting imperatives of our profession. While maintaining our artistic integrity, we create technically sound buildings that meet our client's aesthetic and financial goals. Some architects think of themselves as artists foremost and give more credence to the artistic merit of their creations than to mundane issues like budget or code.
