JHW ARCHITECTS was started in 1970 and has had a long and significant history in the last 46 years as a part of the development of the architectural designs on the Monterey Peninsula and Central California coastal area. We were located in the heart of Cannery Row during the beginning of this development for 28 years in a historic cannery we remodeled. We have since been located on Garden Road since 2001 in an office building we later remodeled into a Church. Daryl Hawkins, AIA has been a part of the firm during all that time which started as Davis Jacoubowsky Hawkins Associates, then J H W Architects, and recently as simply JHW Architects as we have taken in a long time employee Douglas Roberts as a significant partner.
