The firm was created in 1992 by David C. Musser, NCARB. The services we provide are founded on the premise that our primary goal is to assist our Clients in adding realistic and sustainable value to their property. At the same time, we seek to satisfy our Clients' desire for the inclusion of architectural delight and whimsy into the overall design solutions.

All architectural projects, no matter what the size, require some level of planning effort to make sure the building or buildings fit on the property. Musser: Architects, Inc. approaches each design project as necessarily including planning coordination with the appropriate jurisdiction. Building codes and zoning codes, combined with the Client's program for his property, provide the base parameters from which the ultimate design will evolve. For large undeveloped sites or large sites with existing buildings which are to be renovated and renewed, it is necessary to provide a much more extensive site planning design effort.

MUSSER: ARCHITECTS, INC. assists Owners of existing properties, both residential and non-residential, by providing advice and designs which improve the value of their asset through renewal of structural, functional, and aesthetic details. One level of service is to provide the Owner who desires an image upgrade for their property with design for a simple faade improvement, coupled with attention to building details which may or may not be performing well. The faade improvement effort may require us to work with the existing exterior material palate, or may involve the change of one or more of the exterior materials and modification of the surface details.

MUSSER: ARCHITECTS, INC. can provide a full range of design services to Owners who desire new, ground-up residential design. Our project experience ranges from custom, single-family homes to high density, multi-family projects. Attention to site constraints, including topography, views, neighbors, traffic, image, and city imposed design guidelines help insure that the design meets the Owner's aesthetic wishes while at the same time satisfying the technical requirements. We are able to develop designs, and the necessary technical documents, from the Owner's initial concept.
