Our nearly complete Willie "Woo Woo" Wong Playground clubhouse illustrates how art can infuse public space with deeper cultural resonance. Framed within the clubhouse's main hall, the work by artist Julie Chang transforms an existing CMU wall into a contemporary piece honoring Chinatown's rich heritage. Part of a comprehensive park renovation by San Francisco Recreation and Parks and CMG Landscape Architecture, this renewed community space and playground are set to open in 2020. Curbed San Francisco has named Minnesota Street Project among "The Bay Area's 10 most important buildings of the past decade."
