Kevin Broderick, Principal, established Broderick Architects in 1986 soon after arriving in Seattle. Since our establishment, we have demonstrated a commitment to developing creative and practical solutions to design challenges through experience in designing ecclesiastical, institutional, commercial, and multi-family and single-family residential projects. We have worked with numerous schools, churches, and summer camps to create master plans. Typically, the process starts with a building committee meeting to generate the basic goals of the master plan, followed by programming workshops to develop the goals of the master plan and brainstorm layouts for the buildings involved. In most of these projects, planning for future expansions is a key design element. The success of this phasing depends on the development of a well-conceived master plan. The master plan needs to be comprehensive enough to provide a usable tool that will address the future needs of the occupants without ignoring the present condition of the site.
