A small group of us met this afternoon at the church to hand-shovel the church parking lot. We had not worked very long when a Good Samaritan in a medium size tractor seen us and plowed us out for free.
This week we had every intention of restarting church. However, with the current road conditions and the temperatures dropping in the night we will need to cancel again. Even if the temperatures get above freezing tomorrow it will be doubtful our parking lot, back roads, and many of our driveways will be safe to travel upon by 10:30.
I just wanted to let everyone know with the weekend forecast services would be cancelled this Sunday. Originally, we were planning on starting back to church this week but with the snow, ice, and wintery mix moving into the area late Saturday and early Sunday morning we will have to postpone our re-opening until next Sunday.
This med-week devotion is actually Sunday's sermon converted into a written form.
