I hired R Hammond construction to repair the bay window to fix water from leaking into my house. I had a previous contractor who replaced the bay window, and water was coming inside the house. Rick said he would fix the problem by replacing the trim boards, and sealing the windows. This was in December of 2016. After many requests on scheduling and when he could come out I got the "repair" done some months later. A couple months after the repair we had a hard rain, and a large amount of water was pouring inside of the house. Worse than it was before the fix. I contacted Rick (owner) to come fix the problem. He stated it wasnt his problem, they only replaced the trim boards, and that doesnt make it water proof. After pressing, and having him come back to my house he stated that there were flashings needed below the trim boards that were missing and that's what was causing the leaking. He admitted that his guys should have said something instead of repairing the wall knowing that it wasn't done right, but it wasn't his fault because he wasn't there personally. After months of him promising to come fix the problem, and do a correct repair I've decided to file a formal complaint, because he has no intention of fixing the issue. he's promised multiple times (since january) to perform work, or make appointments and will not follow through. He doesn't show up when scheduled, he won't respond to text, calls, or emails.
Great company. Rick Hammond is a professional guy and not out to rob people like most companies. They have done multiple jobs for me. Some insurance jobs and some cash jobs. Every time the job was done right and in a timely manner. A+ all the way around.
