Back in 1975 Tom Waxelbaum, an Atlanta native, started Buckhead Tree Services, Inc. when a tornado that hit the Governor's Mansion brought down a number of trees in his area blocking access to his neighbors' property. Since then, his company has gained a reputation in the area for dependable expertise and attention to detail that brings customers back again and again. It is precisely this reputation that provided the distiction of being entrusted with the removal of the Lenox Square Macy's "Great Tree" at the end of each holiday season for many years.
With 34 years of experience in the Atlanta area, we have built a lifetime of community roots. Buckhead Tree Services specializes in complete tree service and dedication to customer service. From tree pruning (including deadwooding, crown elevation, arbor safe pruning, pruning of hazardous limbs overhanging a house, which can cause damage and access for rodents) to complete tree removal, our crews perform with skill and precision and leave your property clean and unharmed. When stump grinding, we use self-propelled machines for gates and tight areas.
Whether the first chilly days of autumn signal the start of the football season or the homestretch toward the end of the year and the holidays, it's also time to start collecting a stack of wood for the fireplace. A big pile of hot burning wood is a symbol of security, hearth and home. A promise of toasty evenings with the family, and the self-sufficiency of being able to stay warm should a storm disrupt your power. Our standard premium firewood is a mix of old growth oaks, hickory, beech and black cherry.
