Jacob Sauer Tree Care is a family-owned business with local roots. Jacob was born and raised in Clintonville, and has always had a soft spot for the old growth trees in hard to reach places in the mature neighborhoods of Columbus. In 2005, Jacob Sauer traveled to New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to assist with storm cleanup. He stayed for a year and a half, honing his skills in tree removal and ultimately founding Jacob Sauer Tree Care. Jacob Sauer is one of the most skilled climbers and riggers in Central Ohio, and he will bring his experience and expertise to your job.
There are many ways to prune a tree. Some of those ways are quick and easy for the worker. Others are best for the tree. At Jacob Sauer Tree Care, we chose our name because we are interested in caring for trees, first and foremost. You'll see that in evidence when you watch how we prune trees. We take a less invasive approach than the quicker and less careful methods of some of our competitors. For example, "topping out" a tree is a practice that was used many years ago and has since been deemed to be wrong for trees.
Tree removal is not only sad and unfortunate, it can also be dangerous and destructive in the wrong hands. We prefer not to have to remove trees. We'd rather keep them healthy. But sometimes a tree has to be removed. When that happens, we arrive with superior equipment to minimize intrusion into your yard, landscaping and nearby trees. If there is a hard to access location, we use a crane. This allows us to pick up large pieces and move them to an open area, rather than trying to move a large tree or piece of tree through a narrow gate or over a fence by hand.
