Plaintiffs claimed 1.9 million in tree damages. After examining their claim, We assessed Plaintiffs' tree and landscape damages for $550,000. Both sides were at a stalemate. The case was within weeks of going to trial. Our arborist supported his evaluation using a combination of the trunk formula method, cost of cure, and tree replacements to support tree, and shrub, irrigation, erosion, and landscape damages. Plaintiffs reduced their demand to $750,000. The case settled for an undisclosed amount.

With over 28 years of tree, landscape, irrigation, design, arboriculture, landscape maintenance, and landscape construction experience, Evergreen Arborists Consultants has the education, background, and experience to assist with forensic investigations and technical consulting for tree and landscape cases. We service the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego areas.

Fortunately, we have seen many cities put tree protection ordinances in place. In light of the negative impact of construction, trees can be quite vulnerable. Not to mention, these kinds of ordinances also promote more responsible planning measures. When conditions around them shift, trees need to be able to adapt. And yet, mature trees especially, have established biological systems that make adapting more difficult. This is why an arborist's report is often required. The type of protection needed is far more in-depth than just protective fencing for example.
