With over 18 years in the San Diego tree care industry, South Coast Tree Service has the experience to handle all your tree needs. Our services covers all facets of tree care including: Pruning, lacing, thinning and crown reduction. We also remove trees, cut firewood, grind stumps and root prune. Courteous and professionally trained owner and staff will help you answer all questions and concerns relating to your specific landscape needs. Because South Coast Tree Service maintains the Certified ISA Arborist credential, you may rest assured that your trees will be maintained to all current industry standards and safety practices.

South Coast Tree Service (SCTS) was founded in 1998 by Jeff Nelson. Armed with a marketing degree and psychology minor from San Diego State University, Jeff had prepared to start and operate SCTS in the competitive San Diego market. Starting off with a truck, trailer and a couple of chainsaws SCTS was born. One of the keys to longevity and success for SCTS has been to always go above and beyond client expectations and continue to train and educate the employees as well as our clients. All facets of our service is overseen by Jeff himself, from the 1st contact over the phone, the bidding process and scheduling and execution of the work.

Trimming/Pruning The process of trimming and lacing trees requires experience and knowledge of certain tree species as well as their biological processes. A certified Arborist will walk you through the complete tree care process and help you to understand and identify the proper types of trimming for your trees. Tree Removal Often times it may be necessary to remove a tree from the landscape for various reasons. If you are uncertain if a tree needs to be removed or not we will help and provide options or remedies for a particular tree if possible.
