Great experience with Rich's. Rich's Tree service recently trimmed a huge tree at a rental in Parkrose that had been damaged through the winter. They did an excellent job in removing all the broken branches and cleaning the area. The tree looks awesome and at a fair price. I would highly recommend! A crew from Rich's Tree Service came out today to take down a much loved but failing apple tree in our yard. While each of our customer's circumstances is different, there are a few sets of options for tree removal that we commonly provide our Portland customers. Our standard removal includes bringing a tree to the ground, disposal of limbs, and cutting larger-diameter logs to 16 lengths for firewood that will be left on site. If you choose, we can remove the wood for an additional cost or leave the larger diameter logs at longer lengths, which you can cut down to firewood size. Down-only tree removal consists of safely taking the tree down either in one or multiple pieces.

When you have a stump that needs to go, there are two ways to handle it: a complete dig-out and stump grinding. While digging may be the only option in some cases, we usually prefer the faster and cheaper method of stump grinding. Stump grinding is a process by which a rotating cutter wheel grinds a stump to a depth of up to 24 inches below ground level depending on the machine utilized, access, and other limiting factors.
