We finally finished our season the day before Thanksgiving. I t was our latest finish in over 20 years and some people have not cleaned up leaves and we were forced to skip the last treatments which are among the most important ones of the year. For fleas and Ticks lower populations mean less insect activity in the spring, and late November fertilizer stores carbohydrates. As the leaves begin to fall it is a good idea to regularly remove them by mowing them up or taking up heavy amounts of leaves. Leaves left on lawn starve the lawn of oxygen and the grass blades wilt and die also be sure to keep leaves off new seeded areas.
