A family-owned and operated company, we offer personal service that larger builders cannot. Welcome to the Beason experience. You're going to love it. As a leader in the design and construction of advanced technology facilities, our architectural solutions are a result of a collaborative process that empowers our multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge. Your Beason home along Lake Norman is a great place to entertain neighbors, prospects, clients, bankers, lawyers, CPAs, investors and co-workers.

Beason uses the finest materials available, and the ones that best suit your needs, throughout your home. Roofing is no exception. Water is the great enemy of all buildings, and we make every painstaking effort to keep it out. We look at strength, durability, attractiveness, low maintenance, energy efficiency, sustainability, structural weight and cost. Among our most popular roofing materials are those of CertainTeed and GAF. These materials are made with a heavy fiberglass base and ceramic-coated mineral granules, all embedded in refined, water resistant asphalt.

Doors are the portals to your home. At Beason, we always consider both the beauty and functions of your interior and exterior doors. We walk you through all the many choices and help you with your selections. There's a lot to think about. Know that we only work with the best — Jeld Wen and a variety of other superb manufacturers — so whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. You are probably most familiar with exterior doors, since their aesthetics are obviously important to the look of your home.

Flooring tends to dominate and dictate the look, warmth and overall livability of your home. Nothing is more personal. So, Beason offers the full variety of wood types and colors, and every one of them is the best of its kind. You can choose from real hardwood floors that are either pre-finished or finished on-site. These come in an endless variety of species and stains. We can help you decide what will work best and look best in your new home. Or, you can choose to have pre-engineered hardwoods, which are even more durable, or luxury vinyl planks, or ceramic and porcelain tiles.

HVAC (Heating, ventilation and air conditioning). In our new homes built along Lake Norman, we know that electric and gas heat pumps from Trane and Mitsubishi are superior HVAC systems. So those are what we use. Heat pumps heat in the winter and cool in the summer. Trane heat pumps are HSFP rated for heating (the ratio of energy efficiency in heat pumps) and SEER for cooling (the energy efficiency of air conditioners). Trane heat pumps are also very quiet, with fans and insulation reducing noise to a library-quiet level.

Like all of our architectural designs and building materials, we at Beason put all our years of experience and study into your windows. They need to be aesthetically beautiful and placed in site lines that afford straight-line views to your landscaping and our beautiful Lake Norman scenery. But they also serve a major pragmatic purpose. We can't emphasize it enough: water is the great enemy of all buildings, and we make every painstaking effort to keep it out of your home. Your windows are major parts of your home's water resistance, interior climate control and money-saving energy efficiencies.

In the Lake Norman area, "staycations" and the home oasis are the norms, so pools have become almost a necessity. Large or small, gunite or fiberglass, pools are a very common and popular way to enjoy our beautiful outdoor settings and warm temperatures. If you want us to install a pool during your home construction, or want to plan the space for it in the future, Beason will help you design and build it.

Your kitchen is the focal point and main gathering place for your family. It's cabinets need to be beautiful, functional and extremely durable. When you build with Beason, you can be sure of that, because we use handcrafted custom cabinetry from Holiday and semi-custom cabinets from Timberlake, two of the world's finest cabinet companies. As Holiday's slogan says, "You are where you eat." When you select your cabinets, consider price, but also textures, wood grains, colors, finishes, drawers and doors, framed or frameless (European style).

Landscaping ties your new home to the natural beauty of Lake Norman. Simple mulch beds or elaborate water and fire features can ensure that your new custom home has the setting it deserves. Beason will help design and install your landscape plan and make the final details of your dreams come true.

The answers are screened-in porches and patios. Our warm temperatures nudge us toward recommending screening systems like the EZE Breeze windows, allowing Beason homeowners to turn a screen porch into a sunrooms by simply turning the frame. To make the most of our mild winters, we will often incorporate outdoor fireplaces into covered or screen porches, or into an outside patio area. Our homeowners can then spend more time outside and laugh at chilly weather.

Decks and patios that use pavers, concrete, wood or composite — with or without full outdoor kitchens — bond us with the landscape. A deck or patio is a place where Lake Norman families enjoy breakfasts, lunches, dinner or just entertaining. Beason can incorporate pergolas for screening, fire pits for marshmallow roasts, or full, modern kitchens. So if you love being outside, there's no need to go back in!

Of course, Beason used the latest, highest quality, stainless steel (unless you request another color) appliances available. Here's what you may not know: smart, energy efficient appliances and security systems — those in existence and those yet to be invented — often cannot run to their maximum productivity levels without broadband, category 6 cabling that runs inside the walls of your home. Also, if that cabling is twisted tightly when it is pulled around corners, it loses its category 6 capabilities.

Your kitchen, freestanding islands, bars and washroom countertops, placed at the right height for your easy use, need to be functional, durable, hygienic, and beautiful. We tend to recommend granite, quartz, Silestone, Cambria, soapstone and marble, but you are building a custom home, so know that a huge number of options, in an almost unlimited number of colors, are also available: recycled glass, limestone, gabbro, slate, wooden butcher block, travertine, stainless steel, copper, zinc, aluminum, concrete, terrazzo and more.
