Add instant value and curb appeal to your building or home by making your stone, brick, or masonry sparkle. We clean and repair damage caused by smoke, fire, flood & water, acid rain, vandals, sloppy painters, air conditioner run off, chalking paint stains (from aluminum siding and trim, etc.), weathering, tree falls, and more. Hot Shot's unique, behemoth, 37 horsepower diesel powered machine, coupled to a 1 million BTU boiler and top notch technicians can tackle the most difficult industrial, commercial, and residential cleaning or restoration jobs.

The seeds of Hot Shot were planted in 1974 and it has been growing and evolving since. Initially, the prime focus of the company was with real estate rehab work, primarily in the finishing end of this industry. As the demand for these services waned, Hot Shot focused on masonry casualty repairs and high performance coatings. We became more active in these areas and in the commercial and industrial market places as well. In the early 1980s as we expanded our range of services, the Forever Floors division was started.

Our roots to historic restorations run deep. We started cleaning brick in the Old Allentown Preservation Area of Allentown in the mid to late seventies. We started off just cleaning brick- removing years of dirt, grime and pollution from homes that were being restored to their original conditions. The first efforts involved using a small gasoline powered cold water pressure washer (not dissimilar to what Home Depot sells today and that a lot of so called pressure washing contractors currently use).

At Hot Shot we started installing high performance floor finishes in the early 1980's. We started installing and refinishing hardwood floors in the mid 70's and ended up more deeply involved in the flooring coating world as more and more of our commercial and industrial clients wanted a reliable source for, as well as the protection/benefits offered by, special floor finishes. The demand for this service, as well as for specialized floor preparation services, grew to such an extent that we ended up started another division- Forever Floors to address this burgeoning market.

If you need to protect your building from potential fire damage to satisfy insurance requirements, to reduce insurance costs, in order to get your CO, or to bring your building into compliance with local, state or federal regulations, Hot Shot can help. We have extensive experience in the installation of intumescent coatings, cementitous coatings as well as dry board type materials to protect wood, steel, and other surfaces to achieve the UL approved fire ratings needed to meet your requirements.

During the course of doing brick cleaning work in one of the historic areas in Allentown, a property owner approached us about removing numerous layers of paint from his brick. We tried to remove it but found that by and large, the cold water machine was simply not effective for that procedure. We saw where people were sandblasting the brick and were not impressed. Abrasive blasting cannot be controlled adequately and often damages the brick while leaving significant amounts of paint that should have been removed.

Hot Shot has been long known as an expert in the High Performance/Special Coatings arena. The quality of the preparation work we do and our attention to detail lends itself well to the installation of typically expensive high performance or special coatings. These materials are used across a wide spectrum of, primarily, the industrial and commercial markets. From catalyzed resinous materials (epoxy, novolac, methyl methacrylate, polyaspartic, catalyzed polyrethane, etc.) for specialized applications (floor coatings, tank linings, graffitti barriers, etc.) to fireproofing (for protecting bulildings and building components) and firestopping (for protecting people within the building), Hot Shot is the "go to" company to meet your special coatings needs.

Hot Shot's cleaning service will help reduce your maintenance costs by unclogging the arteries of your process piping, increasing the air flow over condenser, evaporator or heat exchanger coils and helping all of your equipment run at peak performance.

The work we do often reminds me of a line in Big Yellow Taxi, a song originally done "back in the day", by Joni Mitchell, I believe: "don't it always seem to go you don't know what you've got til its gone". More often than not people don't realize how beautiful their brick or stone fireplace is, the brick, stone or masonry walls of their homes, the pool decks, pavers or sidewalks are, until all of the dirt, soot, paint or pollution are gone. Call us to help you come "back into this day!"

Early on in our history we started getting calls to remove paint from brick, stone or masonry. Sometimes it was simply drips from a sloppy painter, sometimes chalking paint stains discolored the surface, at times vandals had left their mark, and other times a previous owner got tired of the original look and painted all of the masonry. The latter situation often led to the application of more and more layers of paint, many of which failed to bond properly, and which ultimately led to an unsightly, peeling, chalking mess.

Hot Shot has been instrumental in completing hundreds of renovations in the Old Allentown and Old Fairgrounds sections of Allentown, in historic Bethlehem, in downtown Easton as well as in and around the outlying towns of the Lehigh Valley. We clean all types of masonry- from brick and stone to concrete and granite, from tombstones to garage floors. Hot Shot can remove years of paint splashes, accumulated dirt and pollution, soot or smoke stains, asphalt drips and a myriad of other eyesores. Simply cleaning the outside of your home makes you feel better when you come home, adds significant equity to its value and makes it easier to sell if that is your goal.
