Since our founding in 1988, Topper Construction has grown to become one of the largest roofing and siding contractors in the Mid-Atlantic region. Headquartered in Frederick Maryland, and with a satellite office in Pittsburgh, Topper provides a full-range of exterior building and home improvement contracting solutions to homeowners, new home builders and general contractors. In our three decades, we've installed roofing and/or siding on more than 75,000 new and existing homes in five states and the District of Columbia, and we have successfully completed more than 250 commercial projects.

At Topper Construction, we install the full range of shingles from TAMKO, CertainTeed, GAF and IKO shingles, giving you a wide variety to choose from. Architectural shingles are laminates of various sizes and shapes. This creates a dimensional look that many people attribute to added curb appeal.

Topper Construction offers a full range of gutter and downspout options, as well as several types of leaf protection. Our gutters and downspouts are available in copper or six standard aluminum colors. If you need a custom color to match a metal roof, we can get just about anything you want. Ogee gutters, also known as K-Style, are the most popular gutter profile that we install. Ogee gutters are typically seamless, come with hidden hangers, and are available in 5-inch, 6-inch or 7-inch widths. Box gutters are typically used in commercial applications.

Topper Construction uses Tremco Barrier Solutions, the world's foremost supplier of sealant, for residential and commercial basement waterproofing. With a basement protected by Topper Construction, you can rest easy the next time a big storm rolls through. Backed by a 10-year, fully transferrable warranty, Watchdog Waterproofing H3 is the only waterproof membrane used by Tremco. Watchdog H3, a polymer-enhanced asphalt that is applied as a liquid spray with a black finish, stands above other asphalt-emulsion products because it stays where it is applied with minimal runoff.

Flat roofs - aka Membrane roofs or Low-sloped roofs - are generally ones where the pitch is less than 2/12. Because these roofs can't shed water with the same velocity as a higher pitched roof, they require specialized roofing material. The roofing contractors at Topper Construction are certified installers of Firestone TPO and EPDM products. Each of these single ply roof membranes performs the same essential function, but they do have a few differences. We can help determine which is right for you.
