Virgil Engel Builders, Inc. was established in 1985. As an employee of Virgil Engel Builders, Ben Stoltzfus grew in the company and was hired as a foreman in 1996. In 2002, Ben began purchasing shares of ownership which led to a sole proprietorship and change of name by 2004.
