Northeastern General Contractors is a Maine Company Founded in 1967, by Clifton Marean as a general construction company. NEGC is one of the top turnkey sitework contractors in the area. Our Company provides over 43 years experience in the construction industry. We currently own two sand & gravel pits in Maine and offer Aggregate Materials & Deliveries anywhere in Southern Maine.
Clifton Marean started this business in 1967 building residential homes in the greater Portland area. He and his wife, Carroll, bought Northeast Foundation Company in 1972 and began Northeastern General Contractors, Inc., doing housing developments for ourselves and other contractors along with utility work. We purchased our first sand and gravel pit and quarry in 1984 in Hollis and another in 1990 in Waterboro. We live in Standish where we raised our 4 children and now have 8 grandchildren. We are a family operated business with 2 sons, Rick and Chris, working in the business, 2 brothers and cousins, and all of our employees have worked for us at least 20 years.
