CMC is a manufacturer, located in South East Tennessee, specializing in custom sheet metal and plate fabrication, equipment fabrication, piping and installations. CMC's team specializes in work relating to food processing, chemical, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical and bottling. Founded in 1949 as Lennon Furnace Company, the name was changed in 1973 to Custom Mechanical Contractors to reflect the Customer's changing needs. CMC has evolved from a small commercial HVAC contractor into a full service industrial fabricator with more than 75 employees.
CMC is your custom sheet metal or plate fabricator. We can design, field measure, draw, fabricate, deliver, and install the item(s) you need. CMC can fabricate your item(s) from carbon steel, various stainless steels, titanium, hastelloy, abrasion resistant steel, or aluminum. CMC can also provide you with certification papers on your material and or welding procedures if required. Full penetration, seal, and purge welding available. If you need sanitary or clean design fabrication CMC is your contractor.
CMC has a Certified Insulation Energy Appraiser (National Insulation Association) on staff. Our trained staff will be happy to evaluate your current system and submit a custom Energy Appraisal. This Appraisal will identify dollars wasted. The Appraisal will make necessary recommendations for the correct thickness / correct type of insulation to be used. We insulate most anything in the Industrial world, such as; tanks, equipment, pipe, duct etc. We work with both hot and cold systems, moisture / condensation control, equipment protection and personal protection.
CMC's team of estimators/designers have over 140 years of combined experience in design and fabrication. Our estimators/designers will not only help you with your design, but also provide design ideas, which solve your problem and are efficient from a fabrication point of view. CMC understands the importance of managing design and fabrication in order to assist you the customer, in getting value added product. CMC can work from formal drawings, informal sketching, or "hand waving" walk throughs of your project.
