I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. The youngest of 3 children, I graduated from Des Moines Lincoln and later graduated from Iowa State University. Throughout my time in high school and in college, I worked with my father (Larry) in the excavating business and began to learn the trade. I watched Larry and learned how he worked and why he did things the way he did. I also learned how to interact with customers and people. He taught me everything about the business. Now as a husband and father of 3, I've taken what my mother and father taught me in life and am using it to now run the best business I can.
