Since its foundation in 1946 by John P. Huff Sr., Huff Contracting, Inc. has proudly been a family-owned and -operated business. Now one of the largest providers of retail, industrial and medical construction in the Cedar Valley, Huff Contracting, Inc. began in 1946 as Huff/Homeway Construction, a small home-building business, under the direction of John P. Huff Sr. The business specialized in building homes in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls areas. Over the years, our project focus has transitioned to commercial contracting, beginning in the 1980s with the change in the real estate market. This led to our present specialization in commercial construction, with an emphasis on restaurants and retail projects.
