Before we install the catch basin for the sump pump, we use a perforated catch basin ( 36" to sometimes 60" deep) surrounded by clean gravel and then wrapped in geo fabric to keep the dirt out of the basin. This allows all the subgrade water in that part of the basement to seep into the basin. Once we installed the basin for the sump pump with the gravel you can see the below grade water is seeping in the next day. Our Sump Pump was installed that day to discharged the water outside and away from the house.

Exterior waterproofing membrane system is used for waterproofing and strengthening concrete against wicking water, water vapor, capillary water seepage and soil gases. Permanently strengthens concrete, hardens concrete surfaces, and protects concrete against cracking, dusting, efflorescence, freeze-thaw, road salts, deicing chemicals and minor defects. The membrane is remarkably impermeable to water and water vapor and unaffected by acidic or alkaline environments. Equipped with highly efficient additive packages, the channel drain board is stabilized against oxidation and provides outstanding compressive strength, impact resistance, chemical and environmental stress crack resistance.
