Restoration Hardwood Flooring, LLC is owned by me, Scott Walker, and I'm glad you're looking at my site! I trust you'll find the information both helpful and educational. I have over 25 years experience installing, sanding, refinishing, staining and repairing hardwood floors. I, and my team, have been working on the South Coast for the last 6 years are committed to being the premier hardwood flooring contractor in the area. The following pages explain how and what we do as well as our approach and philosophy for providing homeowners, contractors and facility managers the best possible results and experience.

Do not use a wet mop. Most mops just don't wring out thoroughly enough, and even small amounts of water can cause your floor to swell and cup over time. Do not clean the floor with furniture polish, vinegar, ammonia, pine cleaners or Murphy's Oil Soap. Those cleaners may dull or even damage the finish and will create problems when your floor needs recoating. Never wax a wood floor-If you're looking at your hardwood floor and thinking that it looks dull and dingy and just needs to be polished up a bit, don't try it!

Installation: We are extremely experienced in installing hardwood floors for both homeowners and contractors. We primarily install solid wood floors including Oak, Pine, Maple, Ash, Bamboo and Exotic woods but we also install pre-finished flooring as well. We follow the proper installation procedures to ensure the flooring materials are the correct grade, moisture content, and are fastened correctly for long lasting performance. Finishing: There are primarily two types of floor finish used today: Water and Oil based.

Just wrapped up in time for the holidays. Wish we could have gotten more pictures, but it was just too hectic.

Thankfully, only oil paint was on here. If you have these old 140 year old floors, please restore them! It's a shame a lot of them end up in a landfill. Definitely worth the cost and effort to restore them.

After the lead test came back negative, these cleaned up nicely. Finished up with Loba Wakol Easy Finish. A nice Satin finish with a tinting of amber.
