We founded Southern Oaks Flooring in 2010, two years after moving to Nashville from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. We both graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with degrees in history and foreign languages, subjects we still avidly study today in our spare time (we're nerds.) Our work as been featured on HGTV's Property Brothers, in Southern Living Magazine, and various other publications. Jared is certified by the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) in hardwood sanding and refinishing and installation, and he has trained with some of the most skilled and respected wood flooring professionals in the United States.
We are National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Certified Sand and Finishers, and we truly enjoy giving new life to hardwood floors. We work closely with our clients throughout the refinishing process, which often includes creating custom color blends, layering stains or chemical treatments, and determining the right finish for each floor. Custom hardwood floors do not have to be stuffy, old-fashioned affairs.
