Design Source Flooring has been committed to recycling post consumer flooring for over 15 years. This is why the top manufactures have selected our company as their exclusive recycling partner for many of the cities we service. Post-consumer carpet is reclaimed and turned back into caprolactam, the raw fiber used to make nylon 6. Type 6 nylon is used in such applications as residential and commercial carpet, as well as other products. Type 6.6 nylon, polypropylene and PET is reclaimed and used in various other products such as plastics.
