On any given morning, you'll find Hannah Lane working in her home studio unlocking the secrets found in the layers of her mixed-media paintings. Lane's dog, Paisley, is often found by her side on the splattered drop cloth settled below her easel. The room is enveloped in a variety of colorful paintings-some complete, others resting until the moment is right. Large windows cast a brilliant light throughout the room, creating an ethereal atmosphere. As the seasons change, the studio alters its mood and the color tone of Lane's work shifts-brighter in the warmer seasons, more serious in the winter.
