This was a building that had a deteriorating stone foundation. The challenge was to give the foundation its strength back, without tearing down the entire side of the building. We poured a new footer and incapsulated the deteriorating wall in a thick, one-sided concrete wall. That won't be going anywhere for a long time.
This summer project was a great alternative to a free standing landscape wall. This patio is set up with a full concrete footer, cement block walls set at a great height for a sitting wall at the patio elevation, but still utilizes pavers for the patio itself. It doesn't get much more permanent then that!
