We had 2 bids that were almost identical and a bit over budget for our basement renovation. We were lucky enough to receive a 3rd referral through our neighborhood newsletter for Kelli Smith and Capital Construction. Her very detailed cost proposal was the lowest of the three and we immediately felt very comfortable choosing her company. She kept us up to date through out the process, gave us valuable ideas at different stages, showed us ways to keep costs down, never tried to oversell us, and was always available to answer questions when needed.

Being a construction company, she had a lot of her own employees and all of the subcontractors she hired were all very nice and friendly. But I think what most impressed us about Kelli is that she followed up with us 1 month and 2 months after job completion to make sure we were satisfied and that everything was working like we expected. We highly recommend Kelli Smith and Capital Construction for your basement renovation!

We got several bids on our basement before going with Capital construction. A couple just gave quotes over the phone, only a couple came out to meet. Kelli and Tony came over and were great at explaining options available and possible modifications. They gave a detailed run down of costs when they submitted their bid which put them on the top of our choices. We are so glad we went with them, they were wonderful to work with and did a great job! They worked with our budget and the end result was super close to the estimate (small changes were asked for caused the difference from the original estimate) A+++ Thanks Capital Construction!

Highly recommend James and Kelli. They have worked on my home on 3 different major projects. They are outstanding in communication and workmanship. They are thorough in their job and quick to get it completed. They understand very well how disrupting it is and they work to get you back in your home and want complete satisfaction. You will be happy you had Capital Construction working for you.

Capital Construction first helped us in 2012 when we were renovating our current home. Their work was so outstanding that we then hired them again in 2014 to finish our basement. Not only is the quality of their work outstanding; their design is truly eye-catching. Our finished basement is my favorite part of the house. I have several friends who tell me that they are going to come and live in our basement. Kelli and James are approachable, honest, and focussed on doing top quality work no matter how big or how small the job is. Also, their crew consists of quality, trustworthy individuals who are craftsmen in their own right. Capital Construction has helped to make our house into a home that looks amazing!

Attention to detail was lacking. Unwilling to come out and provide service even when I offered to pay them without going through our contractor. Many of the problems were caused by our contractor, but their unwillingness to help us resolve the problems blows my mind.

Craftsman, professionals, trustworthy, good prices, honest, shows up on timeevery time, hard-working, cleans up every day after themselves, will gladly use again and recommend to all. Steven Bain and his crew are first class. Came to our rescue when another company bailed on us. Lucky me, I think Capital Construction & Design were probably going to do better work and they did. Removed old hardwood floors, linoleum, carpet, sink, backslpash etc. Installed pre-finished hardwood floors, new entry way tile, bathroom tile, laundry room tile and kitchen backsplash. Steven did job overview and on-site inspection every day making sure that every minute detail was covered.

Bottom line, the floors & tile look great, the work was efficient including all clean-up. At the end of the job they even cleaned all of our floors & furniture of all dust, then moved all furniture back into each room exactly as before construction, all with smiles on their faces! I would highly recommend Steven and his team at Capital Construction & Design. Big thanks to Ruben, Nathan, Jennifer, Fernando, Silas & Alessandro, Mike & Rontrue professionals every one of them.

had a bedroom plastered they were very professional and cleared all the mess up after, would recommend them for anyone needing plastering done
