My first home was a charming antique farmhouse which I loved, but as our family grew, we needed more room and moved to a new larger colonial. I was juggling three kids and overwhelmed with how to make our new house warm, inviting and comfortable. I experimented with interior designers but found them all to be too stuffy, too opinionated to too expensive. So I took on the challenge myself and found my true passion! I took classes in Interior Design and my new career began to take shape. This simple fireplace refresh completely changed the look & feel of the room. Painting the tired red brick and adding decorative doors instantly brightened up the space which gave this client the cozy feel she was lookin for.
Sometimes it can be overwhelming to tackle a kitchen update, but this before/after is proof that a little time and effort can go such a long way. Simple changes like paint, countertops and new lighting can completely change the look and feel of a tired space.
