City Haven was purchased for its proximity and bike-ability to restaurants, groceries, and entertainment. Though the location was alluring, the original design was a weighty, formal space that did not match the owner's barefoot, yoga-inspired, entertaining lifestyle. An extensively remodeled kitchen, great room and master bath with all new finishes, furnishings, window treatments, and lighting throughout bring a calmness that reflects the client's informal style and emphasis on function. In stripping down to clean forms and celebrating large, open spaces free of clutter, the whole house takes on a more welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
