Our mission is to end homelessness in the lives of individuals by providing housing and comprehensive supportive services. We also strive to eradicate the conditions that cause, contribute to and exacerbate homelessness. Located in Chicago's Ravenswood and Uptown communities, North Side Housing and Supportive Services has served men and women experiencing homelessness since 1983. A collaboration between Lakeview residents and neighborhood churches resulted in the establishment of an overnight shelter in the basement of a church and was named Lakeview Shelter.
