He worked for his father's best friend who had a small garage door business in Redwood Falls, MN. He worked for him through high school and part-time after that. Troy decided he wanted to make a career out of installing and repairing garage doors, so started working for a small company to get more experience. He then worked for a large garage door company for 8 years to gain more experience and learn the trade in both residential and commercial garage door installation and repair.
