In 2013, the business was relocated to its current location, 321 N. 2nd Street, Monroe, Louisiana, 71201. Clayton Norred originally entered the fire protection business in 1981 when he started a small fire extinguisher service business, The Fire Station, Inc. In 1993 the name was changed to Fire-Quip Corporation to reflect the broad scope of services that were provided. Fire-Quip expanded to three locations, Monroe, Ruston and Shreveport, Louisiana and was the dominant fire equipment service company in northern Louisiana.
