Freemasonry is the largest and oldest fraternity in the world. We started our first Grand Lodge in London in 1717 and we have spread to countries all over the globe. The oldest continually operating masonic lodge in the US is in fact, in Savannah Georgia. So we are in great company. As the City of Alpharetta grows, we have found that more and more high caliber men enjoy the benefits that masonry brings. These benefits are not of a financial nature but a genuine satisfaction gained from new experiences, meeting new, like-minded friends and contributing charitably to society.
People always ask us why we became Masons. Here’s one very good reason.
Brethren, we will be meeting tomorrow night at 7:30. Please attend if you can as we have some serious matters to discuss. We will be serving chicken pot pie tomorrow night at 6:30 and look forward to seeing you there.
We wish all a Merry Christmas!! May the light of this season warm each of you and your families. Peace on Earth and goodwill toward Man!
Today we give thanks during this most unusual year. Alpharetta Masonic Lodge has endured a civil war, two world wars and now two global pandemics. I am thankful for the Brethen and friends of our little lodge and for those who came before us and light our path so that we may continue to spread Masonic light.
