Here is a great video about renovating the Sovereign Hotel in Downtown Portland. Architectural Castings cast new Glassfiber Reinforced Cement replicas of the old Terra Cotta balconies for the renovation, which took place last summer. Drive by and take a look, the hotel, the mural, and, of course, the balconies look wonderful!
The future of much of Portland's Historic Masonry is at risk. What a shame it would be to loose so many of these wonderful buildings.
