Mike started in the landscaping business 35 years ago. In 1992, he launched Legends Landscaping which has been a fixture of Reno landscaping for more than a quarter century. As founder of the company, Mike has held every position along the way, from laborer to landscape designer, heavy equipment operator to foreman. He built Legends with an approach unique in the Reno market - do it all and do it all well. Legends was among the first Reno landscape companies to offer start-to-finish design and installation, including curbing, pavers, irrigation, water features and decorative concrete.

DETHATCHING - Thatch is essentially dead grass shoots and small amounts of leaves, stems and blades, less than 1/2 in thickness, It is actually good for your lawn but, excessive thatch can suffocate a lawn. The thatch should be removed at the beginning of a growth period (early to mid April) for.
MARCH is an excellent time for seasonal pre-emergent application to both lawn and planter beds, they benefit from pre-emergent herbicides which prevent the germination of weed seeds by inhibiting a key enzyme. Apply spring pre-emergent to control summer weeds. The majority of pre-emergent herbicides currently on the market can be applied using a granular spreader. Remember, pre-emergents have to be "watered in" with rain or irrigation within 5-7 days after application for best results.*Check.
