HomeWiz just saved us from a brutal summer of heat! After a different HVAC company couldn't figure out what was wrong with our central air and recommended an expensive replacement, we decided to get a second opinion from HomeWiz. HomeWiz came by very quickly, did a thorough diagnostic, and determined that it just needed a switch replaced and a coolant charge. They even took the time to educate me on my whole system (and were kind enough to use simple words so I could follow along, they really wanted me to understand and not just be impressed that they understand)! With all the money we saved not replacing our system, we were able to install an attic fan to make our home more efficient. They were very thorough and professional with excellent communication and really got to know and respond to our needs and concerns. They were also very conscientious about being in our home during the pandemic and wore respirators and maintained appropriate distance. We will definitely be using them again!
They are very focused on customer service. I love the fact when you call their main line you can quickly get access to a real person. They are all extremely nice, helpful, and expeditious in their assistance.
My air conditioning unit abruptly stopped working, unable to get below 78 degrees in the middle of summer. They came out and ultimately fixed it. It was expensive ($1,600), but I don't think it's an indictment on HomeWiz... its simply the cost of the parts, services, and expertise required to fix my unit.
Unfortunately, the unit stopped working again a few weeks later. Frustrated in all the money I spent, I called them up and request they come out. They informed me that "if it was anything to do with the work they did, they would fix it". I wasn't sure exactly what that meant and I had a bad feeling they were going to say it wasn't their work that caused it to break again. Long story short, they ultimately DID fix it again at no additional charge from the $1,600 I had spent weeks earlier.
I felt like they went above and beyond to fix it and so far its still in perfect working condition. I would certainly recommend them. My only advice would be to educate yourself on HVAC's a bit and take notes when they come and do things. We didn't really document what work was done the first time. I'd recommend that HomeWiz provide the customer with an invoice of pricing and the work done for any jobs that cost over a couple hundred bucks.
The owner really cares about the business and ensuring satisfaction. I was frustrated when it broke after they first fixed it, but they served me relatively quickly and again, didn't charge me the 2nd time for any work. Even tho they had to go out and get extra parts and took a couple hours.

Nothing like a clean truck to make a technician more productive
A recent customer was having a problem: every time she tried to cook something in her kitchen, the smoke alarms went off. Our solution was to install a powerful, ducted range hood that doesn’t just move the smoky air around, it completely removes it. Check out the final result!
