I would like to echo the people below in order to provide a balanced review of this company. Unfortunately we were lured into having a porch constructed because of what seemed to be a collection of excellent reviews on google Facebook and yelp. Our story is almost identical to Christy's below. The project started and we got about 75% of a screened porch completed and then everything just stopped. There is not a huge amount of work to be done to finish but apparently it isn't worth doing. Now we are stuck with a contract which we signed with James that somewhat limits our ability to get someone else to complete the project even though we have seen < 2 days work in the past month and a half. I am sad to say that I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have attempted contact through email, text messaging, office calls, cell phone calls and office visits with no response in several weeks.
I would suggest that you seek any and all opportunities for a land/pool design contractor other than Chattanooga Land Design. My experience with them has been awful and seems to be bordering on a "bait and switch" scam.
Absolutely terrible. Took our money and never finished the project. Now will not return phone calls, texts, or emails. Hired him to construct a deck addition with roof to tie in to our existing roofline. Now we have a roof leak because of the incompetence of the workers. The project is about 75% complete, but James refuses to contact us or return to finish the job. The skirting of the deck was installed incorrectly, and even though he said that he would have it fixed -- nope, never did. Also, he never returned to reinstall the gutters, so now we have a terrible drainage problem. He never supervised the two guys that he hired to actually build the deck, so by the time he came back to take a look at it, there were a ton of things that needed to be corrected. And of course, those things never got fixed. He took our money and ran. I guess he decided that the small amount of the contract price that we still owed him wasn't worth his time. So we now have to hire someone else to finish the project, repair the roof leak, and reinstall the gutters. What a jerk.
