Northside Carpet has been on the Northside of Pittsburgh since1900. Back then, we were proud to offer direct service via a chain-drawn truck, one of the first of its kind serving the Pittsburgh area. This style of truck was durable and lightweight, perfect for traversing the road conditions and hilly terrain of the Pittsburgh area. Early in our history, our representatives traveled to customers' homes via horse drawn buggy or coach, cleaning carpets using an air compression method and screens to sift the dirt from the carpet.
