Your carpet has been stained, your furniture isn't clean anymore, or possibly you need your grout lines touched up. So you look up a well-known, affordable cleaning company to address these issues.

Over the last 20 years, I've had the privilege of helping over thousands of your friends and neighbors get the most sparkling carpets and rugs they've ever seen. Many of my new clients have told me they were sick of the "cheap, top surface only cleaning" their carpets were getting from other cleaning companies. I am constantly seeing and hearing the results of these un-educated cleaners. They use harsh, cheap, and even dangerous cleaning agents (leaving toxic amounts of chemical residue in your home.)

To make sure the investment is worth it, there are a few things that should be done when it comes to caring for your furniture. One of the best ways to prevent colors from fading is to keep your furniture out of direct sunlight. Vacuum your upholstered furniture as much as possible. Remember, dust settles on upholstery just as much as it does on a hard surface such as a floor or a shelf of knickknacks. For high-use furniture, it's a good idea to beat the cushions (often) and then vacuum and rotate them.

There are a few basics you should know about rugs. Once you understand how to identify what makes a rug valuable, you'll have a greater chance at purchasing a better rug. Rug fibers usually consist of wool in most mid to upper end rugs. High-end rugs may also have silk. Synthetic fibers such as acrylic, polyester, nylon, and olefin (polypropylene) can be found in more economical rugs. Cotton, sea grass, and sisal rugs are often moderate rugs. Your most stain resistant rugs will contain synthetic fibers but won't feel as soft and luxurious.

Remove spots and stains immediately. Upholstery is not nearly as stain resistant as carpet. Apply fabric protection for best stain resistance. Most upholstered fabrics and leather are NOT stain resistant and need protectant regularly applied. Don't allow dyes (inks, paints, strong chemicals, etc.) to come in contact with upholstery. Clean light-colored upholstery BEFORE it appears soiled or at least every other year. If you wait until it looks dirty, some damage may already be done. For W and WS coded upholstery, use a Neutral PH water-based cleaner such as our "Home Pro Spotter" on spots like food spills, drink spills, light grease, etc.
