See the difference! Steam cleaning your carpet at least once a year is recommended. If you have pets or children, you may need to clean more often to maintain the quality of your carpet. Waiting too long can let the dirt particles and grime settle in beneath the fibers, then when you walk on your carpet the fibers are pressed down and rubbed together with all the debris in between acting like sand paper. You may notice your high traffic areas will begin to get that "fuzzy" look. Applying a protector such as Teflon on your carpet is very helpful, especially if you have pets and children.
